For my first Design I project, the goal was to create a grid in Adobe InDesign and produce three magazine spreads and a cover spread based on an existing magazine article. The topic that I chose was the popular Japanese pop singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who is well known for her eccentric, quirky fashion, and her close association to the Harajuku culture.
In order to fit the unique style of this artist, I used a color palette consisting of pink, purple, and yellow and utilized an experimental and playful content layout to establish a fun and friendly atmosphere throughout the magazine spreads.
